ORGANIZATION: Karma Cat Rescue Society

  • 28 people are interested

The Karma Cat Zen Dog Rescue Society provides a temporary home to several cats at the North Brunswick PetSmart - in the Adoption Center.

To keep things clean and our cats well cared for (and loved!), we schedule volunteers for morning and evening shifts. If you can commit to cleaning, scooping, feeding and loving our cats one shift per week please contact us. It typically takes between one to two hours to care for the cats and the room. The morning shift is requested to start around 9 am.

Volunteers must be able to work independently and handle the cats with love & care.

About Karma Cat Rescue Society

Location:

Mission Statement

The mission of the Karma Cat Rescue Society is to provide a safe and peaceful haven for homeless, abandoned or abused animals. We will help decrease the number of cats being destroyed in kill shelters through the work of our adoption, trap-neuter-return, and education programs.

Description

The vision of the Karma Cat Rescue Society is a world where every companion animal is respected, fed, warm, happy, and not in danger of being killed because it is temporarily homeless.

Our values and guiding principles are:

Compassion: Goodwill and respect for all living creatures.

Success: Effectiveness will be judged by the extent to which animal lives are saved and improved and by the positive experience of the people we contact.

Leadership: We lead by example - developing, promoting and sharing great new ideas and programs to help animals.

Transparency: We are open and honest in our relationships and interactions.
