LULAC is proud to host our fifth Latinos Living Healthy Feria de Salud on Sunday, May 4, 2014 from 11:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. at the National Mall in Washington, D.C. (between 8th Street and 12th Street). This event will gather families from across Washington, D.C. and surrounding areas for a phenomenal day-long cultural festival focused on healthy eating, physical activity, and wellness while celebrating Latino cultural traditions. LULAC will provide a variety of health screenings, fun physical activity and healthy Latino cuisine to celebrate Latino music, family, health and culture! The event is free and open to the public.


Volunteer Information:
We are seeking lively, upbeat individuals with a willingness to take on various tasks to join us during this historic event as volunteers! Volunteers are needed to fill various shifts throughout the day of May 4, 2014. Volunteers will have the opportunity to explore the event after their scheduled shift.

Please arrive 15 minutes early for a mandatory Volunteer Orientation briefing to receive a general overview of the event and your responsibilities.

Volunteers will be provided with snacks and water

Lastly, you do NOT need to know Spanish to be a volunteer

The League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC), founded in 1929, is the oldest and most widely respected Hispanic civil rights organization in the United States of America. LULAC was created at a time in our country’s history when Hispanics were denied basic civil and human rights, despite contributions to American society. The founders of LULAC created an organization that empowers its members to create and develop opportunities where they are needed most.
