The Steady Strides 5k Saturday, June 6, 2015 seeks volunteers to help with several race-day tasks.
Last year more than 1100 participants, 500 spectators, and 75 volunteers came out in support of the Parkinson's Wellness Chapter. We raised more than $100,000 to help People with Parkinson's to live well with the disease!
Volunteers are needed for the following tasks. Please reference which you are interested in when applying.
- Water stations: 8-12 individuals
- Parking lot: 10-12 individuals
- Course traffic/cheering: 16-20 individuals
- Registration Office: 10-15 individuals

Mission Statement
We are an affiliate of the American Parkinson Disease Association (APDA), a non-profit organization founded in 1961 whose mission is to "ease the burden and find the cure" for Parkinson’s Disease.
Description
Our Parkinson’s Wellness Chapter is based in Cincinnati and serves residents of Ohio, Kentucky, southern and central Indiana, and the Lower Peninsula of Michigan by:
- Providing information to help patients, families and caregivers make connections that promote wellness in living with "PD"
- Sponsoring/supporting programs of education, support, exercise and more for the Parkinson’s community
- Building awareness about PD and reaching out to find and assist individuals and families affected by PD
- Raising funds for local services and national research
