The role of the Support Volunteer is to support 3 - 8 parents of newborns at a time by; Listening to their concerns; Sharing information and experience;Providing educational materials; and, Informing families of appropriate community resources; make contacts up to 4 months. Volunteer must be a parent.

Description
Our staff provides research - based education and other services through workshops and trainings as well as customized services based on community needs and interests. Our program are free or low-cost. Cooperative Extension serves Durham County through several program areas: 4-H Youth Development; Family and Consumer Sciences; Agriculture/Consumer Horticulture; Kids Voting Durham; Welcome Baby Family Resource Center; Community Transportation/ Durham County ACCESS and Community Outreach.
