Camp Erin is a weekend three-day overnight camp specifically designed for kids and teens, ages 6 to 17, which have experienced the death of a significant person in their life. At Camp Erin, kids have the opportunity to explore, express, memorialize and discover while being around other kids who have experienced similar losses in their lives. Cabin Big Buddies (CBBs) are trained volunteers responsible for the children in their cabins. CBBs are required to attend the "save your spot" event which allows them to meet and get to know the camper they will be responsible for at camp. There are 2 CBBs for every five children. Their responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Knowing where their campers are at all times and accompanying them to all activities Creating a positive, fun, supportive and energetic atmosphere for campers Facilitating camper and cabin-group bonding Participating in and or facilitating sharing activities Taking campers to all meals and sharing the cabin with campers
