BGCI is currently looking for a dedicated, responsible and enthusiastic Resource Development Ally to assist our Team with our upcoming Monte Carlo Night & Raffle (MCNR). MCNR is one of BGCI’s largest annual benefit events dedicated to benefit our Club Kids. MCNR is a night full of casino games, a silent auction, delicious food, raffles galore and more.

WONDERFUL RESUME BUILDER & NETWORKING OPPOTUNITY FOR STUDENTS

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Background check

  • Prefer knowledge/experience/majoring in area of event planning, hospitality, resource development, or hotel/nonprofit management

  • Professional demeanor and comfortable conversing with a variety of community stakeholders

  • Ability to devote 10 hours during the month of April (flexible with your availability dates/times)

  • Available to attend & assist assigned duties at Monte Carlo Night & Raffle Event, Thursday May 1st from 6:30-9pm

Specific Duties: Duties as a part of this position include but are not limited to:

Prior Event Duties (flexible with your availability):

  • Assist with preparation of silent auction gifts for Monte Carlo Night & Raffle (MCNR)

  • Responsible for creating auction gift descriptions

Monte Carlo Night & Raffle Event Duties (May 1st: 6:30-9pm): *Must be present

  • Assist with set-up of auction area, auction items, & registration at the hotel during MCNR event

  • Assist with handing out purchased items to appropriate guests at the conclusion of the event

*This is an unpaid ally/internship position

Description

Boys & Girls Clubs of Indianapolis are special because:

  1. Dedicated Youth Facility - The Boys & Girls Club is a place designed solely for youth programs and activities
  2. Open Daily - The Club is open every day after school to provide a safe place for kids when they have free time and need positive, productive outlets.
  3. Professional Staff - Every Club has full-time, trained development professionals, providing positive role models and mentors. Volunteers provide key supplementary support.
  4. Available/Affordable to All Youth - Clubs reach out to kids of all races, religions and ethnic cultures who cannot afford other programs or lack access to them. Dues are low, only $15 per year, although it costs BGCI $600 per year to provide programming for one child.
