This annual event is very important in sharing with the community Wichita's great jazz artists. The TKAAM Event Teams will set up for TKAAM's annual Jazz Fest. The first team will place chairs and equipment for use during the event. The second team will tear down the chairs and equipment in an orderly manner for storage.

Description

The Kansas African American Museum is a regional and cultural museum with an important source of historical reference materials, creative works and media. We host a varied collection of rare artifacts, African art, original sculptures, paintings and musical scores. TKAAM was one of only 11 African American museums nationally to receive federal grants from the Institute of Museum and Library Services in Washington D.C. (IMLS)
