Volunteers can excercise our animals, groom them to make them stand out, help with daily cleaning and feeding, help with facebook and other social media sites. We are always in need of foster care help for our babies too. We are always in need of help on a daily basis. We reach the community through many events as well, such as book sale, Unleash your Love, Pawtiques and Treasures & our Annual Furry paws event.

The Bakersfield SPCA is committed to promote the welfare of animals through public education; enforcement of laws; and the care and adoptions of abandoned, abused animals.
Description
Shelter which houses approximately 2,000 animals per year. We are also an adoption agency for these animals that are suited as adoptable. We euthanize only very vicious or very sick animals.
