Founded in 1899, Catholic Guardian Services (CGS). CGS is the second largest provider of family foster care services in New York City and New York State with programming that provides specialized services for disadvantaged youth including medically fragile and behaviorally challenging children and teens. Our agency operates sixteen distinct programs, and provides a wide range of services in the areas of: child abuse and neglect prevention services, residential care, family foster care and adoption, maternity services, aftercare services for juvenile offenders, residential living for the developmentally disabled, and private domestic and international adoptions.
We are seeking assistance in enabling our agency to both improve upon the day-to-day operation working closely with our IT department to build a greater technological capacity of staff. This would include training and support with Window 2010 and Window 7.
We are seeking volunteers that would be stationed at our locations in the Bronx and Manhattan. Volunteering with CGS will provide an individual an access to a broad range of community-based and support services and an opportunity to learn.
Additional Information: This opportunity can flexible during normal business hours. Because this is a new opportunity, we welcome a volunteer who can offer new ideas and plans.
