Do you have dance skills and some experience teaching?

Are you interested in working with a child in foster care with a passion for dance and very few role models?

Can you commit to weekly dance lessons for a child who will cherish this relationship?

If so, we may have a wonderful position for you!

Children's Home Aid's Rice Child and Family Center is looking for a "dance mentor" for a client who excells at dancing and could use some one-on-one dance instruction. Youth who grow up in foster care seldom have adults in their lives able or willing to pay for private lessons, and it's hard for a child to develop their raw talent and express their emotions through movement without someone guiding them! We need a caring, committed, reliable adult to teach weekly dance lessons to a child who would never otherwise have the opportunity.

The Rice Center is a 24 hour residential facility, so this opportunity could easily take place in evenings or on the weekends.
