Goal: Volunteers help kindergarteners, first and second graders in Miami develop a love for reading.
Task, Logistics and Timeline: You'll read one-on-one with kids for a minimum of one day a week. The program takes place at different summer camp tes all over Miami Dade County. We'll try to match you to service sites nearest where you live. Activities run from June 8th - July 31st.
Requirements: Just a sincere desire to help kids discover the joy of reading. Adults over 18 will be given preference.
Benefits: The kids learn to love reading, you give back to others in a worthwhile way, plus, we'll pay you a $12 stipend for each day you serve!'

Description
After-school services and summer camp programs in 6 Miami -Dade locations. Activities include academic enrichment, field trips, cultural events, sports, dance, art, character education, preventive health screenings and homework assistance.
