Make an exciting difference in the future of Elementary students by teaching them economic success skills! You can inspire young people to experience the realities and opportunities of the new global marketplace through Junior Achievement. JA, the nonprofit leader in providing innovative financial literacy, work-readiness, and entrepreneurship education, needs volunteers to take career- and life-skills mentoring into local classrooms.
Volunteers Needed to Help Kids Connect with Future Economic Success--in Just One Day!
Share A Part of Your Career Experience With Students at Hamilton Elementary and Middle School
Volunteers will:
- Receive ready-to-use materials provided by JA
- Teach five, forty-five minute lessons to a class of 20-30 elementary school students
- Receive a 1 hour training (can be at company worksite), and provide 4 hours on school site
- Volunteers needed for all grade levels
Students will:
- Experience an exciting learning atmosphere at the school.
- Learn how business works and their role in the economy.
- Learn about many different jobs and careers.
- Be introduced to what awaits them as grown-ups in the work world

Junior Achievement of Northern California (JA) achieves this mission through teaching students about their expanding roles as individuals, consumers, employees, employers, and productive members of our society. Working in partnership with over 4,000 community and corporate volunteers, we provide empowering programs to K-12 students across 26 counties in Northern and Central California. JA's vision is to make a positive impact on the lives of all students in our operational area, and our efforts towards this ultimate goal are guided by these core values:

Each school year, JA NorCal impacts over 90,000 students with programs that will help them become economically confident and career-ready adults.
Our regional headquaters is located in Walnut Creek, and we have branch offices in San Jose and Fresno. We currently operate in the following counties:
Alameda, Calaveras, Contra Costa, Fresno, Humboldt, Inyo, Madera, Marin, Mariposa, Mendocino, Merced, Mono, Monterey, Napa, San Benito, San Francisco, San Joaquin, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Solano, Sonoma, Stanislaus, Kings, Tulare, Glenn, and Tuolumne.
