Hi Potential Volunteers,

Our BIG SPRING EVENT is the Belmont Bash. This event will be held at EQUI-KIDS in the indoor arena. It is a combined effort withEQUI-KIDS Therapeutic Riding Program and will be a great new partnership. I also think this event would be a great introduction for you to Toby's Dream's fundraising efforts to support our dreamers.

You must be 21 years old (or older) to volunteer. See the job descriptions below and let me know if you are willing and able to help!

WHEN: Saturday, June 7, 2014 - The event begins 4pmand concludes at 8pm. Volunteers to be onsite by 3:00pm.

WHERE: EQUI-KIDS: 2626 Heritage Park Drive, Virginia Beach VA 23456

Below please find a brief overview of each committee. You may be assigned to an individual committee or several:

Parking Committee (4 volunteers needed): Set up event parking signage, assist with directing vehicle traffic to designated parking areas, welcome guests as the arrive and leave, serve as event security-monitoring drivers to ensure safe rides home for all, at conclusion of event, remove corrugated parking signs and stakes and bring to Administrative Building.

Sponsor Concierge Committee (2 volunteersneeded): Setup sponsor paddocks (staging/banner/décor/etc), escort sponsors to sponsor paddocks, ensure sponsor paddocks are neat and clean, assist sponsors with any special requests.

Food Refreshment Committee (8 volunteersneeded): Volunteers will pour beer during event,volunteer needed to serve as Bar Back for bars to ensure they are fully stocked at all times, extra alcohol and supplies will be kept in the Tack Room locked. Committee Char will keep key. Volunteers will also assist in serving food.This event is a great time for everyone but you should know that while beer is served for our guests, Volunteersare not permitted to partake. Sorry, you're on the job.

Casino Raffle Committee 2 volunteersneeded): Setup Casino Prize table - inform guests about casino prizes they can win and how to play, staff Casino Prize table, manage raffle drawing and post winner names to pickup packages. Upon event conclusion, break down areas completely - store tables and all casino items appropriately.

Race Raffle Committee (4 volunteers needed): Set up race table-inform guests how to "bet" on the winners of The Belmont Stakes for some great giveaways, staff race tables-promote raffle ticket sales, when time allows mingle with guests to promote ticket sales, assist with prize bags to stage for drawings, assist guests who win packages, upon event conclusion break down areas completely-store all items appropriately.

Upon event conclusion at 8PM, we appreciate your help to stay and break down so we can return the barn and indoor arena back to its normal purpose.

Not all children live the care free lives they deserve and, as a result, their capacity to dream becomes hindered by the news of an uncertain tomorrow. For some, their days become consumed with treatment and therapy, doctor’s offices and hospitals. These children face challenges that many adults would cower from and are able to do so with courage that inspires so many.
