Come be a part of history! IDEA US is seeking energetic volunteers to join our team as we execute our Debate on the Border program- the first-ever public debate sequence on an international border.
You will get to have an in-depth, hands-on experience where we will rely on your passion to fuel our program. This is a great opportunity to work in a fast paced, collaborative environment as we bring the "Immigration Reform" debate to San Diego, California. You will be able to provide valuable input towards the development of the program, and add to your interactive skills and experience.
The role will be based out of the San Diego area. The duration of this assignment is 4/28/14 - 5/2/14. You will be working directly with the Director of Development of IDEA US.
The Position:
You will be involved in a multitude of projects including:
- Promoting the event through social media (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram)
- Assisting the staff with the logistics for each site
- Contributing to the community outreach in each location
- Identifying prospective collaborators, sponsors, and supporters
- Assisting with administrative tasks
- Assisting with operation of event
