Purpose:
To assist the RCO Content team in publishing content on RCO. Intern will be trained by content team. No previous website knowledge is necessary.
Key Responsibility:
Provide assistance in publishing content on www.redcross.org
Qualifications:
Comfort with computer, technology, interest in learning the backend of a website. Photoship skills a plus but not necessary. Eye for photography and design a plus.
Length of Appointment: 3 Month Minimum
Time Commitment: 10 hours per week minimum
Development Opportunities: Support the Red Cross Digital Engagement team and learn new skills for posting content on the internet!

The American Red Cross, a humanitarian organization led by volunteers and guided by its Congressional Charter and the Fundamental Principles of the International Red Cross Movement, will provide relief to victims of disasters and help people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies.
Description
The national headquarters of the American Red Cross provides assistance with shaping and leading the organization in our mission and strategic plan. National Headquarters also assists with technical guidance to the many Red Cross units, such as Chapters, Armed Forces Emergency Services Stations and Blood Services regions. These units are responsible for the direct service to the community including disaster response and preparedness, messaging to Armed Forces military and their families, collecting and delivering blood products, teaching health and safety skills and helping reunite families through our international services.
