For 40 years, the Area Agency on Aging 1-B (AAA 1-B) has provided information and access to services that enhance the lives of older adults, persons with disabilities and family caregivers. Serving a six-county region of Livingston, Macomb, Monroe, Oakland, St. Clair and Washtenaw, our vision is to ensure that older adults, adults with disabilities, and caregivers achieve their highest quality of life. As we continue to experience robust growth in both size (the numbers we serve) and influence, we strive to hire talented, purpose driven professionals to join us in our commitment to those we serve.
We are seeking volunteers to perform clerical tasks, such as greeting guests, distributing mail, copying, stuffing envelopes and filing. If interested, please contact us.

Description
The Area Agency on Aging 1-B, established in 1974, is a non-profit 501(c)3 agency responsible for services to more than 435,000 persons age 60 and older residing in Livingston, Macomb, Monroe, Oakland, St. Clair and Washtenaw counties.
Area Agencies on Aging were established under the Older Americans Act (OAA) in 1973 to respond to the needs of Americans aged 60 and over in every local community. The AAA 1-B is one of 16 area agencies serving the state of Michigan. There are over 650 area agencies across the United States. Area agencies receive funding through the Older Americans Act and other federal, state and county dollars.
