America Reads matches volunteer tutors with K-3rd grade students reading below grade level. You will spend a minimum of one hour a week reading with children, working on sight words and sounds or other elementary level reading skills under teacher supervision. Program operates in Guadalupe, Comal, Hays and Wilson counties. You have the power to change a child's life in one hour a week!

The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program of South Central Texas has a dual purpose of engaging persons 55 or older in volunteer service to meet critical community needs and to provide a high quality experience that will enrich the lives of the volunteers

Four county volunteer program for retired persons. Currently 882 active senior volunteers serving 90 non-profit agencies and health care facilities.
