Support an Educare classroom by volunteering to help with implementation of activities for children, playing with children, preparing activities, cleaning up after activity/meal, one-on-one support for special needs children, etc.
Educare's hours are: 7:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.
Great for those interested in child development, social services and nursing.
Educare is a:
- Program based on the best of early education practices that ensure the school readiness of children most at risk for academic failure
- Place of early learning that sends a clear message that we must invest in early childhood education because children are born learning
- Partnership comprised of philanthropists, Head Start and Early Head Start providers, and school officials dedicated to narrowing the achievement gap for children in their communities
- Platform for raising awareness of the value and vital importance of learning during a child's first five years of life.

Agency Overview
Established in 1965, Community Action Partnership of Lancaster and Saunders Counties Community Action empowers people living in poverty to reach economic stability. We offer 16 unique programs to ensure that everyone, regardless of their economic situation, has the opportunity to thrive.
Last year, Community Action served 17,805 individuals and families. Our high-quality early childhood education programs ensure that our community's most vulnerable children are ready for kindergarten, and more likely to graduate from high school. Families learn and save in our matched savings program as they work to purchase their first home, launch or expand a business, or continue their education. At Community Action, individuals build their skills in orer to acheive meaningful employment. We offer the critical next steps in establishing and maintaining long-term economic stability.
Our participants are remarkable people. They take responsibility for making lasting changes in their lives by making use of their own unique strengths. As a result, they are better able to manage their living situations, and make positive steps toward economic stability.
