Do you enjoy reading? If so please consider signing on as a Homestead Hospice Volunteer. Many of our patients enjoy someone reading to them. We take this task for granted, but with failing eyesight this can prove to be quite the challenge. And of course its the one on one attention from a hospice Volunteer that many patients enjoy most.
Volunteer orientation is provided to fit your busy schedule and doesn't take long at all. All materials/ test are provided at no charge to the volunteer.
If you have been thinking of helping someone in someway please consider volunteering with us. As we would love to have you on our team.

Homestead Hospice care is specialized in providing support to patients and their loved ones during the final phase of a terminal illness. Hospice care focuses on comfort and quality of life, rather than a cure. The purpose of hospice care is neither to end nor prolong life, but rather to relieve the pain and discomfort of symptoms and give support to patients and their families during "Lifes most important journey"
