Then come and join our Volunteer RN program here at Rush Oak Park Hospital! The Volunteer RN Program is a unique opportunity that allows retired or stay-at-home RNs to give of their time in a different way. You will work with staff to host and conduct trainings for our pre-med student volunteers that will cover: high quality patient rounding, wheelchair transport of patients, engaging the patient and bedside manner (including scripting), infection control and basic isolation techniques. You will also have the opportunity to work one-on-one as a coach/mentor with our new Unit Assistant volunteers on the clinical floors. Come and share your expertise and wealth of knowledge with the next generation of nurses and healthcare professionals!
