Cy-Hope Weekend Backpack Program volunteers deliver approximately 2,000 bags of food to 72 Cy-Fair ISD schools each week. This food provides weekend sustenance for families who would otherwise go without food. Cy-Hope has partnered with the Houston Food Bank and the food bags are delivered on Tuesday mornings. Volunteer opportunities include:
- Tuesday mornings-Assist with unloading the Houston Food Bank truck. Approximately 19 pallets of food are delivered each week and we are always in need of volunteers to help off-load the truck.
- Wednesday or Thursday food deliveries- Deliver food bags to CFISD schools. Each school is allocated a certain number of food bags that they receive. Volunteers are assigned a participating school and deliver the food bags, preferably on Wednesday mornings. Food delivery Substitutes-In the event that a regularly scheduled volunteer is unable to make their deliver, a sub will fill in.

Cy-Hope was birthed by a core group of people concerned about the children in our community. Cy-Hope serves as a catalyst to bring needs and solutions together, bringing hope to at-risk children so they will grow up to be well educated and productive citizens. This will in turn make a lasting and positive impact on the community of Cy-Fair. Cy-Hope has the following programs to help us meet our goal of making life better for kids in Cy-Fair:
Backpack Program
In an effort to prevent childhood hunger and to provide each child the opportunity to succeed in school and life, the Backpack Program provides food for needy school children each weekend.
Camp Lemonade
This program sends underprivileged youth to camp for the ultimate summer camp experience.
Counseling Center
The Cy-Hope Counseling Center specializes in play therapy, counseling for children and adolescents, marriage and family counseling, as well as group therapy.
Dierker’s Champs
Dierker’s Champs is committed to developing champions on and off the field. Under the direction of former Houston Astros All-Star pitcher, announcer, and manager, Larry Dierker, our mission is to provide the best baseball instruction possible in a family-friendly, positive environment.
Hope Centers
Cy-Hope has created "Hope Centers" in a trailer park and apartment complex where kids can come for tutoring, life skills classes, Bible study, sports, games, and mentoring.
Providing Opportunities Program
Provides partial and full scholarships to qualified at-risk students for Dual Credit/Certification/Advance Placement courses.
Devine Virtuosos
We encourage students through the magic of music by offering band programs.
