ORGANIZATION: Evergreen Goodwill of the Northwest

Position Description: The Risk and Safety department’s primary duties are to facilitate Seattle Goodwill’s worker compensation program, and to manage commercial insurance needs. This team works to ensure that each Goodwill facility functions in a safe manner for employees, job training and education students, and retail store customers. The Risk and Safety Assistant will support the department in an administrative role in order to keep numerous departmental projects on time and up-to-date.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Data entry
  • Create, organize, and manage L&I, OSHA, and GII required documentation binders
  • Assist in maintaining departmental filing systems
  • Create claim packets for each Seattle Goodwill facility
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned

Reports To: Risk and Safety Support Specialist

Essential Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to type 50 WPM
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, teamwork and diplomacy skills
  • A demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of a team
  • Ability to practice confidentiality with sensitive information

Time Commitment: Flexible business week hours; 20 hours per week preferred. The number of hours per week may reduce over time, as administrative projects brought up-to-date.
