Looking for ways to make a difference? We welcome volunteers of all abilities and talents who are at least 18-years old. While volunteers do not work directly with animals, there are lots of ways to help us.

Volunteer Opportunities:
  • Help make surgical packs and do laundry
  • Fundraising and Special Event Assistance
  • Make pet toys and other items for our gift shop
  • Distribute brochures and post flyers at local businesses
  • Develop Marketing/Public Relations Materials
  • Represent UCAN at public events - distributing brochures, answering questions about spay/neuter, etc.
Activities for Family, Friends & Colleagues:
  • Organize/coordinate a collection for UCAN clinic "wish list" items on our website, ucancincinnati.org.
  • Fundraising on behalf of UCAN - sponsor a themed event or party for your family, friends and associates to raise money for UCAN.
Occasional Needs:
  • Special projects, e.g. help with a large mailing
  • Special events

OUR VISION is a community without homeless pets where all residents have access to quality, affordable spay/neuter and other resources to help them keep their pets in their loving homes. OUR MISSION is ending the euthanasia of cats and dogs in local shelters and keeping pets in their loving homes by providing professional and affordable spay/neuter and wellness services.

Description

United Coalition for Animals d/b/a UCAN Nonprofit Spay & Neuter Clinic is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. We operate a high volume, high quality, low cost spay/neuter and wellness clinic in the Camp Washington area of Cincinnati. We provide affordable spay/neuter surgeries, vaccinations and other basic veterinary care for pets of lower income individuals, animal shelters and rescue groups.
