Volunteers are needed to help escort our assisted living and care center residents to board our pontoon for a leisurely sight-seeing pontoon ride on Lake Minnetonka. Volunteers will escort residents by either walking with a resident or pushing their wheelchair down to the dock to board the pontoon. While residents are on the pontoon, volunteers will be asked to assist the Life Enrichment team with activities with residents such as the Watermelon Social until pontoon arrives back at the dock. Or, if there is room on the pontoon, volunteers can join residents on their pontoon ride. Pontoon rides will be between 45 - 60 minutes. Staff will also be working with escort volunteers.

Most of our residents have been COVID-19 vaccinated. CDC and our own Presbyterian Homes Organization's guidelines will be adhered as necessary. These could include social distancing and wearing PPE such as face masks when advised as well as recommending hand sanitizing and/or washing hands which we always do anyways.

We are located on Lake Minnetonka on Black Lake and own our pontoon. We also have volunteer pontoon drivers responsible for driving the pontoon.
