Do you have an outgoing personality? Do you like to work as part of a team? Can you go above and beyond to deliver great customer service? We are looking for volunteers that can work as a team delivering amazing member service.

When you volunteer at the Y, you’re empowered to do more, to surprise our members and exceed their expectations at every step. By encouraging curiosity and learning, we’re constantly experimenting with new ways of WOWing our members and making a difference in people’s lives. We not only accept change, we seek it out and embrace it because we know that by creating and innovating, we change lives.

Job summary:

Assist other members in becoming more connected to the Y by welcoming them, encouraging their participation in programs and activities, and introducing them to staff and other members.

Job Specifications:

Must be a current, active member with general knowledge of the Y or looking to become a member of the YMCA of Greater Nashua. Should be friendly, outgoing, and able to communicate personal Y experiences. Training and volunteer pre-requisites will be provided.

Essential Functions:

1. Greet and welcome members in the lobby
2. Share your personal Y experiences and Y stories that you collect from others with new or 'less connected’ members
3. Connect members to staff and activities that can improve their Y experience
4. During Y events, assist in promoting activities, collecting contact information to better communicate with members, and answering general questions about membership
5. Encourage others to 'Do Something Good’ and become a Y volunteer. Share not only opportunities as Ambassadors, but for community projects and other roles within the YMCA.
6. Through storytelling, support the efforts of the living our cause of strengthening the foundations of community.
