The Outlet is a fun and safe place of recreation where our guests interact and develop friendships with our volunteers. The Outlet takes place on Saturdays from 9 am to noon.
Most of our guests are men and women who are homeless, many of them dealing with addictions and/or mental issues. The Outlet is safe place they can count on to get away from the streets, play a game with a friendly face, engage in a meaningful conversation, grab a cup of coffee and a snack, and just feel loved.
Individuals and groups are needed who can ideally commit to at least one Saturday per month.Volunteers help set up, tear down, interact with our guests through games, conversation, arts and crafts. The purpose is to begin the process of building life-changing relationships.

City Gospel Mission helps mend lives and create a bridge between people of faith and people who have lost hope. Founded in 1924, City Gospel Mission helps the homeless and hurting break the cycle of poverty and despair...one life at a time. We engage, equip and empower those in need with the spiritual, emotional, mental and physical skills and resources to achieve long-term life transormation and self-sufficiency.
Our programs and services are centered on caring, personal relationships focused in four key service areas: food and shelter, drug and alcohol recovery, youth development and job readiness and placement.
We collaborate with more than 350 local churches and 2,500 volunteers to annually serve more than 6800 adults and 9800 youth.
