We are looking for passionate volunteers that love working with youth and teaching the basics to tennis. NO tennis experience, no problem, a passion for working with youth a must! We will provide two training opportunities in early June. The trainings will give you all the skills you need to run a successful program and will include easy to understand handouts. We will continue to provide support throughout the season.
This 8 week program for 7-10 yr olds is run at 14 sites across the city and is designed to introduce kids with little to no tennis experience in a fun, play based, dynamic learning environment in their own neighborhood. practices are M/W from 6-8pm starting June 25th and running through August 15th Looking for volunteers that can make most of those days. The last 2-3 weeks also include fun regional matches.

Description
Green Lake is one of Seattle's most beloved parks. Its expanse of water and green space in the center of a dense urban neighborhood draws thousands of people daily from all over the city. The park serves as a natural preserve for hundreds of species of trees and plants, as well as numerous birds and waterfowl. The newly reconstructed 2.8-mile path around the lake provides a perfect recreational spot for runners, bikers, skaters and walkers and the adjacent 3.2 mile trail is ideal for joggers. Many others use the athletic fields or visit the park for boating, picnics and swimming.
