Boys Hope Girls Hope of the San Francisco Bay Area is a non-profit organization with community-based programs for youth who come from situations of significant need. We are seeking mentors for our community-based program, Hope Academy, to work either one-on-one or in a group setting with our scholars, who range from 7th to 12th grade. The mission of Boys Hope Girls Hope is to help academically capable and motivated children-in-need to meet their full potential and become men and women for others by providing value-centered, family-like opportunities and education up to -- and through -- college. To learn more about our organization, visit www.bhghsf.org. As a mentor, you will develop relationships with our scholars and serve as a role model. We are seeking mentors who can commit to spending 3 hours a week with our children. Your schedule can be flexible during the week (the program runs Mon-Thu from about 3-8pm) and will include 1-2 Saturdays a month). We are located at Archbishop Riordan High School, 175 Frida Kahlo Way, San Francisco, CA, directly across from CCSF. BART and MUNI lines run close by. Ultimately, BHGH-SF aims to help each of our scholars graduate from high school and go on to college. Our goal is to see every child we serve develop academically, personally, and emotionally.
