Job Description:
The Web Design intern is responsible for designing the CRA website. CRA has a domain and a basic outline for website content. CRA will provide a list of needs and the intern will collaborate with the team to plan and develop the site. This intern will gain valuable experience in ground up website creation including workflow, graphics and content.
Responsibilities:
- Interpreting needs and goals of the CRA and designing an outline of the website
- Preparing site by installing and configuring server software; installing programming language using authoring and formatting tools; ensuring cross-platform compatibility; establishing links
- Design clean, fresh and current user interfaces accessible regardless of device (mobile/desktop/tablet/etc.)
- Creating graphics: icons, banners, images, etc.
- Creating a system for CRA to maintain the website
- Linking email to web address/webpage
Qualifications:
- Previous web design experience
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JS and/or other web design languages
- Ability to write cross-browser-friendly code
- Good personal work habits
- Seeks and readily applies feedback
- Experience with the following website features a plus: online registration for events, photo gallery, online applications, online giving, links to pdfs, linking contacts generated through website to database
- Able to maintain confidentiality, especially when applied to issues concerning youth

The Center for Restorative Approaches provides safe and structured spaces in which people can build community, bridge differences with integrity, repair harms, and have voice in the decisions that affect each others' lives. We facilitate Restorative Practices like community building circles, problem-solving circles and community conferences.
When a crime or conflict occurs, we bring together eve ryone who has been impacted to discuss what happened, how people were impacted, and what can be done to repair the harm.

We work with and offer training in Restorative Practices for schools, neighborhoods, government agencies, businesses, faith communities, the juvenile justice system, organizations, families, and the general community.
