"Penguin Plunge"

Girl Scouts need camp-in volunteers!

Meet a loveable "waddle" or group of African Rock Penguins up close and personal. During this once-in-a-lifetime experience, you’ll be able to view these special creatures both on land and in the water. The penguins live, eat, sleep, swim and play in their state-of-the-art 2500 gallon habitat that is temperature and humidity controlled just to their liking.

Volunteers will facilitate various demonstration activities located throughout the Science Spectrum. They will help set up, participate in, and take down materials and help ensure the safety and security of the girls. Each volunteer should bring a flashlight, sleeping bag, pillow, toothbrush and toothpaste. The Science Spectrum will provide a late-night snack and drink. A continental breakfast will be provided by the Science Spectrum.
