Uhuru Furniture & Collectibles is looking for volunteers who can provide transportation to other volunteers!
This is one easy way to complete service hours, to make a difference in your community and to contribute to the mission of the African People's Education and Defense Fund!
Drivers are needed:
- To pick up and drop off volunteers at different sites within Oakland where they will do community outreach
- To transport volunteers to and from college campuses so they can deliver materials to campus contacts
- To transport volunteers to and from check-in meetings with supportive businesses
All of these are very important and by simply volunteering your time and driving abilities, you are helping to make our non-profit organization much more impactful in the community!

Description
Uhuru Furniture and Collectibles is a non-profit store that is a fundraiser for black community empowerment programs of APEDF. We receive a truck load of donated furniture and household items every day. This is a lively, popular Grand Lake area store staffed mostly by volunteers. When you volunteer at Uhuru Furniture, you not only contribute to the success of the store, you become part of a larger movement for peace through social justice. People shop at Uhuru Furniture for low priced, top quality items and to support crucial programs for social justice for African people.
