ChildServ seeks caring, committed adults 21 and over who are able to meet regularly with a youth for at least a year. Mentors should feel comfortable working with at-risk youth. Our mentors support youth and young adults in ChildServ’s group homes in DuPage County.
Why veterans? Military personnel and veterans have answered the call of duty and served a cause much greater than themselves, and ChildServ hopes to harness this potential to help children build, achieve, and sustain better lives.
Mentors work with youth on educational achievement and setting career goals, building trusting relationships and providing encouragement, to expand their horizons.
