18 th Annual Pond & Stream Sweep

Please consider joining us in our 18th Annual Pond & Stream Sweep.
- Team building exercise
- Community Service for Church or High School Groups, Boy Scouts/Girl Scouts
- Enhance College applications & scholarship applications with volunteer service
- If you are interested but can’t make this date, an alternate day can be arranged
- Individuals as well as companies are welcome
Come enjoy the outdoors and make a difference in the quality of water in our community. Volunteers are needed... feel free to organize your own group or you can participate in an existing group and join us on Saturday, May 21st, beginning at 8:00 a.m. to help remove trash and debris from our pond shorelines and stream banks. Individual volunteers are also welcome! Over the last seventeen years over 1,000 volunteers have participated in this annual clean up and have removed 15 tons of trash - but each year there’s always more to clean! Everyone is welcome!
All clean up activities will end by 12:00 noon or sooner. Gloves, trash bags, dumpsters, grabbers and pokers are supplied by the Village. The Village will also make arrangements to pick up the trash bags. Please contact the Engineering Services Department at (630) 871-6220 or email us at engineeringservices@carolstream.org to register. If your group can’t make that date an alternative day can be arranged.
