The mission of The Kansas African American Museum is to make the African American experience relevant and resonant to very Kansan.

Description

The Kansas African American Museum is a regional and cultural museum with an important source of historical reference materials, creative works and media. We host a varied collection of rare artifacts, African art, original sculptures, paintings and musical scores. TKAAM was one of only 11 African American museums nationally to receive federal grants from the Institute of Museum and Library Services in Washington D.C. (IMLS)
