Volunteers are needed to develop and maintain the vegetable garden at our Head Start center in Arlington. Volunteers will assist students in planting vegetables and they will mulch, weed, dead-head and care for the vegetables as they grow and assist when time to harvest. The garden will be used as a learning tool so that the children learn how food is grown and what it takes to go from seed to their table. Volunteers should have intermediate gardening knowledge and be physically able to tend to a thriving garden over an extended time period. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old.
