ORGANIZATION: RSVP OF BREVARD COUNTY

RSVP of Brevard and United Way are in need of volunteers to help distribute information about the Affordable Health Care Act and FamilyWize Prescription savings cards throughout the county.

Volunteers will assist with the distribution of ACA materials at community events and other locations throughout the County. Locations would include keeping libraries and hospitals supplied, as well as other social agencies.

FamilyWize Prescription Cards Distribution: Click on http://www.uwbrevard.org/ and scroll to the bottom of the page to see the amount of savings to Brevard County. Volunteers will also assist in the distribution of the FamilyWize Prescription cards. Volunteers would pick up the cards at United Way's office and deliver them to pharmacies, social agencies, and other appropriate services agencies throughout the county.

Make a Difference in Your Community!

The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) provides opportunities for people 55 and over to make a difference in their community through volunteer service. RSVP volunteers contribute anywhere from a few to over forty hours a week, serving through sharing centers, meals on wheels, transportation, United Way, and other nonprofit and public organizations to help meet critical community needs. RSVP offers maximum flexibility and choice to its volunteers. RSVP matches the personal interests and skills of older Americans with opportunities to help solve community problems and offers supplemental insurance while on duty, and on-the-job training from the agency or organization where volunteers are placed.
