11th Hour Hospice Volunteer are Volunteers who will simply just "be there" during the final hours of life, even if it is just to hold the hand of the patient or comfort the family member. Any volunteer can participate in this special & much needed service. This would be perfect for those with very flexible schedules, or even a "night owl". Hours will vary, depending on # of volunteers available and the patient's dying process. Short notices of need may also occur as well, since death is unpredictable in nature. However, volunteers will be assigned based upon their availability. We have this program with the goal that no hospice patient is alone in their final hours. Churches and other organizational groups are welcomed. Training provided.

Note: Vigil volunteers do not have to be ministers, they are specially trained volunteers who have the heart to "Just be there" when our patients need them most.
