Aseracare is looking for Veterans who are interested in volunteering to be part of our Journey of Honor team, a unique program that focuses on the particular needs of Veterans under hospice care. At Aseracare, volunteers are the embodiment of our hospice philosophies and play a vital role in the care for our patients every day. Volunteers provide our patients and families with support both emotionally and physically when it is needed the most. Veteran volunteers will visit with our Veteran patients and provide companionship, emotional support, and a therapeutic dialogue that can only come from another Veteran. Volunteers will also have the opportunity to support our honor ceremonies which take place throughout the community and honor hundreds of Veterans. Aseracare knows that our Veteran patients have unique perspectives, experiences, and reflections to which only another Veteran can relate, and Veteran volunteers are a cornerstone to the successful care of our Veteran patients. We would be honored if you would join our team.

Volunteers provide both direct and indirect services. We encourage use of time and talent to enhance patient, family and volunteers' lives. Training and orientation is offered to all incoming volunteers at various levels.
