Great Lakes Caring Hospice is looking for volunteers for our Pet Therapy Program!
A friendly visit from a therapy dog can be so therapeutic. Therapy Dogs provide soothing and relaxing effects of touch, speechless communication and can be a source of comfort. Terminally ill patients enjoy the extra attention and unconditional love they feel from a 4 legged companion visitor.
Therapy Dogs must be certified through Therapy Dogs International or Bright and Beautiful Therapy Dogs. Must be up to date on all vaccinations. Dog handlers must take part in Hospice Volunteer Training/orientation.
