Kitchen Table Advisors is seeking a human resources guru passionate refining efficiencies and about sustainable food and local farms that wants to spend the next 3-6 months building upon and refining our people strategy and processes. This part-time (5-15 hours per week), unpaid internship will involve taking the lead on volunteer and intern program management. Kitchen Table Advisors has a strong network of volunteers, and the intern will work with KTA’s staff to determine how to best recruit, vet, and manage new volunteers. The intern will also organize regular volunteer community-building activities, such as farm tours or happy hours.
The position will report to one of our Associate Director's and collaborate with other KTA team members. You must be located in the San Francisco Bay Area.

What You Will Do
Intern and Volunteer Programs : Develop useful evaluations of our volunteer organization and programs, implement changes, write reports of suggestions, support recruitment and hiring processes for interns and volunteers; organize volunteer community-building events. Potential to help with projects that support our core values and create an organizational culture that is consistent with those values.
Qualifications & Profile
The ideal candidate will have:
4+ Work/volunteer experience in volunteer management or human resources / human capital
Demonstrated ability to take initiative, lead projects, make decisions, and work independently. Extreme attention to detail.
Demonstrated interest in sustainable food & agriculture and supporting local farms
A coherent story for why this 3-6 month, part-time, unpaid fellowship fits at this point in your career
Who We Are
Kitchen Table Advisors is a start up nonprofit that builds healthier food systems by investing in the economic viability of the next generation of sustainable small farms. Kitchen Table Advisors is led and founded by Anthony Chang, a social entrepreneur with 10 years experience advising and financing small businesses, including small farms, at Opportunity Fund and California FarmLink. The organization launched in January 2013 and provides in depth business and financial management support to a portfolio of emerging small-scale, sustainable farms and ranches in the SF Bay Area foodshed.
