No, we are not counting colors or fish, but we are Counting Funds! The Mid America Chapter office of the National MS Society are looking for volunteers to help up process donations received from our 2014 Walk MS events across the chapter. With 29 Area Walks, and nearly 10,000 Walk Participants, you can just imagine the amount of processing that needs to be done. Currently we are in need of volunteers on April 5th 2014 for the first wave of processing, and another waive on Monday 04/14 at the office starting at 10:00AM . We ask for a minimum 2 hour commitment, counting the proceeds collected from the days events. If interested please contact: LaTisha Harris by phone at (816) 448-2199 or email LaTisha at latisha.harris@nmss. We look forward to working with you in support of a great cause!

Description
The National Multiple Sclerosis Society funds more MS research, offers more services to people with MS, provides more professional education programs and advances more MS advocacy efforts than any other MS organization in the world. Through its home office and fifty-state network of chapters, the National MS Society provides assistance to over a million people annually in its continuing mission to end the devastating effects of multiple sclerosis. The Mid America Chapter serves 159 counties in Kansas and Missouri.
Seeking out and engaging volunteers to the MS cause is at the very core of our business. Each year the Society organizes a series of community events that provide many opportunities for the enthusiastic volunteer. The Society offers two key fundraising activities: Bike MS, and Walk MS Walk. The Society also engages volunteers to help influence law-makers at the federal, state and municipal levels toward legislation important to people with MS. The Society is looking for passionate volunteers with expertise in areas such as: marketing communications, public relations, corporate and donor development, medical, legal, administrative and organizational expertise.
