The American Diabetes Association of Northeast Ohio is searching for Akron Area Executives to join our 2014 Step Out Walk Executive Leadership Council to help promote Step Out to the corporate community.
The Akron Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes will take place on Sunday, October 19 at the Canfield Fairgrounds with a goal to raise $105,000 to support critical ressearch, advocacy efforts and educational resources of the Association.
Executive Council members are responsible for helping to secure new corporate teams and sponsors through individually scheduled meetings and/or invitation to the Association's Annual Stop Diabetes @ Work Health Awareness & Action Breakfast held each Spring.
Additionally, each Executive Leadership member will personally attend the Stop Diabetes @ Work Health Awareness & Action Breakfast and follow-up with prospective companies to confirm commitment. Members will also attend Step Out and participate with their own fundraising team.
