If you are a science-minded and outdoor-loving individual, we need your help! Learn about San Diego River riparian habitat ecosystem resources and threats including flow monitoring, algal blooms, invasive non-native plant species, and trash. We even have a special section on the new threat to our County’s riparian ecosystems--polyphagous shothole borer or PSHB!
Participants are asked to attend an 6-hour workshop which combines classroom instruction and hands-on field work. After training, volunteers will sign up to lead volunteers in a minimum of one day of assessments in October. No experience necessray and community service hours can be verified.
Instructions and an agenda will be provided when you RSVP. For questions and to sign up, please contact DeVerna at (619) 297-7380 or deverna@sandiegoriver.org.
