Event Planning Internship: Support Open Door Family Medical Centers, an award winning, federally qualified community health organization's development department.
This is a great opportunity for a local college student to learn all aspects of event planning. The intern will work directly with the Director of Events and Creative Services to plan various fundraising events. Duties will include assisting in all aspects of event coordination, including researching new event ideas, sponsor prospects, and event vendors. Also includes working on large mailings, list management, and data entry relating to events and donors.
We are working on a fun fundraising event for November, so jump on board to gain some hands on exprience!
Requirements: Experience, education or interest in Event Planning or Communications; strong interpersonal skills; creativity, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced work environment. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, is required. Strong working knowledge of Publisher and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and InDesign) a must. Availability to work occasional evenings and weekends to support our fundraising events.
Location: Ossining, NY
Hours: Flexible
Weeks/Days: 2 half days, during the weekdays somewhere between the hours os 9:00am and 4:30pm
Duration: 2015 - 2016 school year
Start: October 2015
