Volunteers will have the opportunity to advance electronic health communication for patients and work directly with patient base. Working closely with our business analyst, the volunteers will help with customer relations to engage, educate and enable our patients to use our online patient portal. Duties will include: web-enabling patients through the Electronic Medical Record (EMR); assisting patients in accessing the patient portal and health related information offered through the portal on their computers or smart phones; assisting patients in obtaining an email address and creating promotional materials. This is an excellent opportunity to utilize Spanish language skills and improve knowledge of medical terminology in Spanish. Participating in this volunteer position will help to build confidence in public speaking; develop skills for promoting new products and programs; and learn to navigate the EMR.

Several volunteers are needed.

Volunteer: adults, college students, high school seniors.


Requirments:

  • Bilingual English-Spanish
  • Great communication skills
  • Able to work independently
  • Basic computer skills
