Are you a knitter or crocheter looking to use your skills to help people in need? Knit With Love is a non-profit based in Orange County, CA. We donate hand-knit and crochet items to people in need all over the world. Since our founding in 2008 we have donated over 7,000 items to people in thirty-nine countries! This would not be possible without our fantastic knitters and crocheters who spend hours volunteering. You can think of us as a virtual knitting group; our knitters and crocheters are spread out throughout America, and together we are creating thousands of items to provide people in need with warmth and love! We accept hats, scarves, blankets, sweaters, and pretty much anything else our knitters/crocheters want to create and donate! Knit or crochet whenever you have the time and mail us your items once they're completed. If you live in the Southern California area, you can stop by and drop them off! Mission Statement
Sports Gift is dedicated to bringing the joy and benefits of sports to underprivileged children around the world and to promoting sports related community service amoung America's youth. Our mission is to reach these children to improve their lives and give them hope through a variety of sports programs including the collection and donation of sports equipment.
Sports Gift has collected and distributed over 250,000 pieces of sports equipment to over 50 countries around the world providing sports to over 150,000 impoverished children around the world including the United States, Mexico, Central and South America, Africa, Indonesia, the Middle East and the South Pacific.
Description
Sports Gift operates a number of programs to support youth sports for underprivileged children, including:
Collection Leader Program: Individuals or groups organize equipment collections at a school, sports league, club or other location in your community to provide sports to impoverished children.
Sports Gift Club Program: Student groups can start a Sports Gift Club to organize collections of sports equipment in their community to help impoverished children play sports.
Play with Purpose: Athletes and adult leagues can buy Sports Gift patches to wear on your uniform to support our mission to help impoverished children play sports.
