The Volunteer and Youth Services Intern will support the Volunteer Management Team with on-boarding volunteers, including volunteer orientation, processing applications in Volunteer Connections system, and assisting with volunteer placement, managing training records, volunteer recognition and retention.

The intern will also assist with overseeing and engaging Red Cross Youth Clubs.

Qualifications: Undergraduate or Master's level student with a background in Non-profit Management, Project Management, Public Administration or Liberal Arts.

Description

The national headquarters of the American Red Cross provides assistance with shaping and leading the organization in our mission and strategic plan. National Headquarters also assists with technical guidance to the many Red Cross units, such as Chapters, Armed Forces Emergency Services Stations and Blood Services regions. These units are responsible for the direct service to the community including disaster response and preparedness, messaging to Armed Forces military and their families, collecting and delivering blood products, teaching health and safety skills and helping reunite families through our international services.
