The Development Intern will help support the Minnesota AIDS Project's efforts to raise funds to accomplish our mission to lead Minnesota’s fight to stop HIV through prevention, advocacy, awareness, and services. It's a great opportunity to learn the ropes of non-profit fundraising and management. If you're looking for a summer resume builder, this is a great opportunity for you.
Qualifications:
College student or recent graduate
Strong organizational and writing skills
Knowledge of HIV and a commitment to the Minnesota AIDS Project’s mission are preferred but not required
Time Commitment:
This internship will last from January through June. We will develop a schedule around your classes but require a 8-12 hour commitment per week plus additional hours as needed for event dates.
Responsibilities:
Event planning and logistics support for the Minnesota AIDS Walk and other events
Developing sponsorship leads and relationships
AIDS Walk Team building and stewardship
Communicating enthusiastically with event participants and volunteers
Accountability:
The Special Events intern will report to the Events and Corporate Giving Coordinator.
Benefits:
This internship opportunity will help build resume and skills while giving back to the community at the same time. Learn a spectrum of event planning skills, from event conception and planning to oversight and evaluation.
This is a volunteer position.
