(SSCDCm214) Bring a meal and a smile to those less fortunate. As a guest and food service volunteer you will ensure that the guests--homeless individuals, single families, and otherwise economy-struck families--can enjoy a hot, nutritious meal. You will greet, sign-in, and serve meals to the guests and keep the dinner service running in a clean, organized and enjoyable fashion. Other responsibilities will include setting and cleaning tables before and after dinner. Please arrive at 5:00pm. Youth through seniors, groups and special needs volunteers are welcome. Minimum age of 13. Wheel chair accessible.

Description
VMC provides volunteer opportunities for individuals and groups of all ages through our affiliation with over 500 not-for-profits, schools and government entities. VMC goes beyond matching to educating volunteers. Professional development is offered to volunteer managers, agency boards, and individuals wishing to serve on a not-for-profit board of directors. Business partnerships enable us to assist them in planning and executing volunteer projects. In addition, outreach and senior services are offered through friendly visiting and telephone reassurance programs.
