Help our Training Manger with dog and cat training classes! Be a representative of the Sniff University by working directly with the public, providing excellent customer service, assisting with instruction in training class, and assisting with recruitment of attendees and volunteer trainers.

Required Training: Volunteer Interview/Tour (1 hour), No previous experience required, only an interest in learning about pet training and behavior.

Time Commitment: Weekly Commitment to total 100 volunteer hours in Sniff University for a calendar year. Attendance of Sniff University Volunteer Meetings.

Description

SPCA Tampa Bay is the only non-profit, animal welfare agency that runs an open-admission animal shelter, pet training facility and public veterinary center in Pinellas County. Our shelter in Largo cares for more than 8,000 animals annually that have been surrendered by their owners, along with injured wildlife. SPCA Tampa Bay cares for dogs, cats, pocket pets, exotic animals, and livestock like goats and pigs. Animals receive immunizations, medical care, behavior training and enrichment, and loving care while they live at our shelter.
